At Spark, we help our clients stand out in the crowd. We offer a full-suite marketing service covering all major channels from search engine marketing to social media ads. Shopify is a modern platform used to set up and launch online shopping websites. It’s easy to use and provides users with an easy-to-understand panel to create a shop, upload products and start selling online. It can also be integrated with various plugins and extensions to add more capabilities and features to existing shops.
Shopify apps can add extra features to websites. There are thousands of apps that can be used depending on the requirements. Oberlo, Kit, Privy, Seguno, Printify, Facebook Channel, ShopSync, Klaviyo, ShipStation, SMSBump, PageFly, HelpCenter, Aftership, Tidio and Yotpo are the 15 most important apps that we recommend to our clients. At Spark Interact, we can also develop custom apps for Shopify.
Shopify offers multiple plans including Basic Shopify at USD $29, Shopify at USD $79, and Advanced Shopify at USD $299 per month. Stores can be equipped with apps for more features with additional costs. To set up a Shopify store, a web domain name should be used which costs about $10 a year.
Web development projects including ecommerce websites may take anywhere between 2 months to 6 months to complete. It take less time to set up an online shopping website on Shopify compared to custom-built ecommerce websites. Shopify websites can be customised using extensions, plugins or web development companies to accomodate specific needs. It is important to note that Shopify charges monthly fees in addition to fees for every transaction that occurs. The ongoing charges may be much less on custom-built online stores.
WooCommerce is a free plugin that can be installed on WordPress to set up an online shopping website. The WooCommerce basic plan is free, however, further features can be unlocked by upgrading to paid plans. The plugin is owned and operated by Automattic, the parent company of WordPress. At Spark Interact, we have the expertise and knowledge to further customise WooCommerce to ensure it accomodates all your needs.
Ecommerce is an important and effective channel to acquire new customers, engage with existing clients and nurture loyal users. Launching an ecommerce website is much cheaper than setting up a retail store. You won’t have to pay hefty prices for set up, fit out, equipment etc. In addition to this, most people browse and shop online these days, making it an important space for retailers to enter into.
Magento is one of the leading platforms to launch ecommerce websites. The platform is open-source and is owned by Adobe. Compared to Shopify, Magento is more expensive so it may not be a good option for newcomers. Established shopping websites may consider upgrading their stores to Magento to enjoy more power over the entire sales funnel. Magento can be integrated with other Adobe products including Adobe Experience Cloud.
